A child of the 60’s and a country girl at heart, I grew up near Corowa, but have spent time working both in Sydney and in the country, in a variety of positions. I have a quirky sense of humour and love the extraordinary. I also love arts, crafts, cooking, sewing & photography.
I met my husband, Scott, through Security / Police work and we have been very happily married since 2001, living first in Avalon and then Bemboka. We moved to the Far South Coast area in June 2007 and love the friendliness of country and village life. We have a family of Ragdoll cats. We have recently taken on a renovation project that will keep us going for the next 20 years.
My work life has been extremely varied. In my 20’s, I ran a single-person Court House at Corowa for NSW Attorney General’s Department, along with 8 years in larger Courts at Wagga Wagga and Albury. As Clerk of the Court, I was also Local Registrar for the Registry of Births Deaths & Marriages, including performing marriages; and was appointed as a Local Coroner under the former NSW Coroners Act.
I again worked for Attorney General's at the Births Deaths & Marriages Registry when I first moved to Sydney. I then had several security roles at Universities and the Casino, including doing Security Work and as Administrative Officer, Security Services, University of Sydney.
I spent 3 years in the NSW Police Force as a General Duties Police Constable in Sydney's Northern Beaches.
I have had many other part-time and casual jobs, both within Australia and whilst travelling, which have included:- ground crew for a helicopter company for the British F1 Grand Prix, Women’s Refuge worker, florist assistant, waitress, deli cook, promotional hostess and fashion model.
I spent several years temping in a variety of office roles before returning to work at Births Deaths & Marriages in the Late Registrations Section and as Executive Assistant to the Registrar.
Since moving to Bemboka, I also worked as Executive Assistant to the General Manager at Cooma-Monaro Shire Council and had stalls at local markets.
I also helped my husband, Scott, with his business, Sapphire & Snow Filter Service, cleaning restaurant rangehoods & filters across the Snowy Monaro and Far South Coast areas, before taking on other roles separate to his business.
