Pre-Death Service - "Living Wake" or "Bonus-Time" Service
Death is something we find difficult to prepare for, despite the fact that it will happen to each and every one of us at some stage. Some people are given a warning, and others are given a relatively distinct time to prepare.
I am available to perform a service prior to the passing of a loved one, whether the death is expected or imminent, or whether it is for a time they didn’t expect to get to or see. These are known by a variety of names including “Pre-death Funeral”, “Living Wake” or as I like to call them “Bonus Time” services.
These services can be large or small, an intimate family gathering or a large party.
They can serve to allow goodbyes to be facilitated, heal breaches within families, and for the person whose life is celebrated to hear what they have meant to those around them and to say what others have meant to them.
It also provides a point in time from which the past can be left behind and each day from then on is lived as “bonus time” and celebrated to the fullest, or at least as much as allowed by an illness.
Others choose a special date or age - a birthday, the age they become older than their parents ever were, a calendar date they didn’t expect to see, and choose to celebrate “bonus time” as anything after that date, so it does not have to be an “Imminent death” occasion.
You may also choose to have this service in conjunction with a Prayer Service for Healing.
