You are getting married  -  Congratulations!

Love is a many-splendoured thing and marriage is a wonderful and legal recognition of a lifelong commitment to each other.  Everyone wants their wedding to be special, reflecting their own desires and dreams, whether they be elaborate with 500 people in attendance or a simple ceremony with just the two of you, your witnesses and celebrant.

Availability and My Years of Experience

If you have met your soul-mate and don’t want to wait,  I generally don’t take bookings more than 6-8 months ahead, Except in exceptional circumstances, you need to give one month's notice (Notice of Intended Marriage), unless you fit one of the 5 stringent criteria to shorten the time.
I performed my first wedding in 1988, as a Local Registrar at a country Court House, and was appointed by the Commonwealth Attorney General's Department as an Authorised  Marriage Celebrant in my own right in 2009.  That was updated in December 2017 to Religious Marriage Celebrant who performs civil ceremonies.  You get the benefit of the years of experience that I can bring to make your wedding truly special.

Choice of a standardised ceremony or a bespoke ceremony tailored just for you

You have the option of using my expertise and resources to have a truly unique ceremony crafted just for you or you can choose a standard "Insert names here" ceremony with minimal customisation.

You come to an expert for ideas and to find out what has to be included - the mandatory legal bits for what is actually a complex legal contact with lifelong ramifications.  As a professional celebrant, I can show you what the possibilities are, how you can make your ceremony uniquely your own. Your dreams, desires and needs are what drive my creative and imaginative flair and you will receive a fully customised ceremony if that is your choice.  To achieve this I have a range of resources to you allow you to choose from various mini-ceremonies to include, such as Welcome to Country, Unity Candles, Hand-fasting or Rose Ceremonies.  You can acknowledge loved ones no longer with us and be guided as to how best to arrange the various components of the ceremony.  Versions of vows and ring vows are also provided.   I am also happy to include some religious aspects, if that is what you wish,

Professionalism and Confidence in Your Celebrant

I am a confident public speaker, sensitive to my clients’ requirements.  Whilst mainly covering the Far South Coast and Snowy Monaro areas, I am happy to travel to locations outside those areas and can perform ceremonies anywhere in Australia.  I am a member of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants and adhere to their Codes of Best Practice and Conduct.  I also undertake Ongoing Professional Development each year to stay current with legislative changes and other industry improvements.  Angel On Standby is fully insured, including copyright licences, and I have a PA system available for services.
